Group Advising for First-Year Students
Group advising sessions cover essential information for ALL new freshmen and transfer students. We will help you to map out a graduation plan and prepare for spring registration.
These one-hour sessions are small (15 students or less), so you’ll have an opportunity to meet your college advisor and other students in your major.
You will also review your advising resources and requirements, and learn how to pick classes that factor into your academic, personal and professional goals. After participating in a group advising session, you will:
- Have a better idea of which classes to register for next semester
- Know which advising services and resources are available at Columbia, and how to access them Understand how to access advising tools in Oasis, and use them to choose courses, register and develop a graduation plan
- Have a better understanding of your degree requirements, including college-wide electives, Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS), major and concentration requirements
RSVP today!! If you have questions about how to RSVP for your session you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
