Pop into one of Columbia's awesome resource centers and whip your resume into shape. Then, apply for a student job at ColumbiaWorks.

 3:00-4:00 pm. 731 S. Plymouth Court, Fitness Center. Boot Camp

Work it hard with a serious, sweat-inducing fitness blow out. Free for students.

Wednesday, September 4

2:00-4:00 pm. C4Cyling Bike Tune-ups

C4Cycling delivers bike tune-ups, from chain lub to wheel truing and everything betwixt. Peddle on over and freshen up your ride. 

3:00-4:00 pm. 624 S. Michigan, 1106. Ways of Wellness

Take some time during this period of transition to focus on how to maximize your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being as you begin your academic year. This is an opportunity to learn how to reduce stress, improve energy and foster a body-mind balance.

4:30-6:00 pm. 731 S. Plymouth Ct, Fitness Center. Street Defense

Practice self-defense techniques so you are always 100% ready for the streets. Plus, you look kind of cool.

5:00-6:00 pm. Grant Park. Happy Hour: Play With Art

Enjoy an hour of art-making, dance and chill-time with your fellow students outside in the beautiful Grant Park.

Thursday, September 5

3:00-4:00 pm. 731 S. Plymouth Court, Fitness Center. Core Abs Class

The key to a strong back and solid balance is a strong core. Work on the six pack, or at least carve some definition into the keg.

6:00-9:00 pm. 1104 S. Wabash, Conaway Center. Big Mouth

Calling all comedians, singer-song writers, poets, dancers, musicians and performers: It's the 1st Big Mouth of the year and all genres and styles of talent are welcome to sign up for the chance to perform. If you don't want to perform, be sure to come and check out all the talent that is Columbia.
