Are you’re an illustrator? Do you have passionate opinion about the historical, political or cultural issues in the world? Do you want to win a cash prize? Then enter to win the Paula F. Pfeiffer and Cheryl Johnson-Odim Political Cartoon Contest!
Students can submit up to five cartoons! The deadline is Friday, April 11.
The cartoons must be…
- An original single-panel or multi-panel political cartoon
- Printed or drawn on 8.5 x 11 white paper
- Identified with a full name, Oasis ID, and email address
- Hand delivered or mailed all submissions to Oscar Valdez at the Department of Humanities, History and Social Sciences at 624 S. Michigan Ave. 10th Floor, Suite 1000.
The Cash Prizes
First place: $550
Second place: $450
Third Place: $350
Two Honorable Mentions: $250
All winners will get a certificate and will be honored at a reception in Columbia’s Library on Tuesday, April 29.
