Student Filmmaker Finalist in Sprite Films CompetitionPublished on May 06, 2014
Columbia Cinema Art + Science MFA student Robert Forney was selected as a finalist in the Sprite Films Competition! His film “Thirsty Enough” is currently in second place in the competition and needs a few more votes to take home the grand prize. Nearly 50 Columbia students participated in the shooting, editing and marketing of the short.
“The competition is a great outlet for new voices and new visions. Sprite is a brand that celebrates bold self-expression, so why not look to the next generation of creative minds to find something truly fresh?” says Forney.
The grand prize is awarded by industry professionals, but the Fan Favorite award is decided with an online vote. It’s not every day that a student gets selected to compete in a national competition. Support the hard work of Forney and his crew by voting here! Watch the short film and sign into your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email account to vote up to five times a day.
“If they see our potential and want to get more content from us, they have the opportunity to take us to that next level,” adds Forney.
