Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory BoardPublished on Feb 14, 2017
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Advisory Board (DEI-SAB) is a peer led student board designed to receive and disseminate the student experience regarding issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Appointed by and reporting directly to Dr. Kwang-Wu Kim, President & CEO of Columbia College Chicago, the board seeks to ensure that a wide range of student voices are heard, shared and expressed to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion both inside and outside of the classroom.
The process will include the following actions:
- Series of 6 Town Hall Meetings across campus to ensure inclusion by students in all academic departments.
- Town Hall Surveys- to be distributed and collected at each meeting for quantitative data.
- Video Story Booths- Each town hall will have a video story booth to encourage students to share their thoughts.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Student Advisory Board would like to invite the Columbia College Chicago student body to share their perspective of the current climate in regards to diversity, equity and inclusion. Students can attend any session and participate. Join us to share your thoughts. Please email – email@example.com if you have any questions.
