Recruiting Events at Columbia College Chicago

The Career Center works as a bridge between Columbia’s academic community and the professional creative industries, hosting a number of programs and events for professionals and employers to meet with our students to review their work and exchange career information.

Organizing recruiting events, on-campus visits, info sessions, panel discussions, portfolio reviews, and off-site field trips to local creative organizations and partners are just a few of the ways that we put creative professionals directly in touch with emerging talent at Columbia. Recruiting Events

Part-Time Job Fair

The Part-Time Job Fair welcomes businesses offering paid part-time and sometimes full-time jobs that may help students support themselves while continuing their education. This is a one-day, tabled event and a great opportunity to introduce your company or business, collect applications and share information about work and opportunities students may take advantage of locally. This event usually takes place in the fall. More info here. Date is TBA.

Virtual Job Fair

The Virtual Job Fair is an online job recruiting alternative offering employers another way to hire Columbia College students and alumni. Reach out to candidates virtually, post graduation, in between, and during semester breaks, with paid opportunities. More information available here. Date is TBA.

Here to Hire

Here to Hire events invite employers and industry partners to come on campus to recruit current Columbia College students and alumni for opportunities analogous to their academic majors and program of study. These visits take place throughout the year and are designed to give employers a chance to deliver presentations so students may get to know them a little bit better. HTH visits also offer some one-on-one time for employers and potential candidates to talk about current jobs and see if it’s a match. Learn more and coordinate a HTH date to visit here.


Share your wisdom with the next wave of creative professionals. The Immersion series is a broad range of industry-specific events and activities designed to connect students and professionals. This is an opportunity to tell students what you wish you knew.
