DEPS - Department of Exhibitions, Performance & Student Spaces Columbia College Chicago

The Department of Exhibitions, Performance and Student Spaces is excited to announce the next chapters for ShopColumbia and the Averill and Bernard Leviton Gallery. For the past eight years, ShopColumbia has represented over 1200 emerging student and alumni artists and facilitated over $300,000 in revenue for Shop artists. With increased demand by both artists and customers, ShopColumbia has outgrown its current location.

Coming this 2016-2017 academic year, ShopColumbia will be moving to a larger retail storefront at 619 S Wabash Avenue, currently occupied by the Averill and Bernard Leviton Gallery. The 619 S Wabash space will blend the fine art and design focus embodied by the Leviton Gallery with ShopColumbia's learning laboratory model.

Fall 2016: Updates
With our current expansion, ShopColumbia has seized the opportunity to update our mission to better serve our community and to bring a fresh approach to the new gallery space with the addition of staff member Julianna Cuevas, Assistant Director of Retail Operations, longtime Assistant Director at Leviton Gallery. As we freshen our walls, revamp our online Shop, and renovate our space over the coming months, ShopColumbia will simultaneously focus on off-site and on-campus pop up events that provide our artists with unique opportunities to showcase their work to an ever-expanding audience as well as ancillary programming that bridges the gap between the student and professional. Please stay tuned for upcoming events, including our Holiday Market and Grand Reopening!
