The Library

The Columbia College Chicago Library fuels discovery, sparks creativity, and ignites your future!. Take advantage of your Library to read, relax, study, collaborate with other students, and get help with your research needs. Use our easy to search website to find articles, books, e-resources, periodicals, music, films and other collections selected specifically with Columbia’s programs of study in mind. If you are off-campus, you will need to login with your OASIS ID#. We have many textbooks and other resources available on reserve for use. Our friendly and informed Librarians are ready to assist in person, via chat or email and can help you learn how to find, evaluate and use information for papers, projects, creative endeavors, and personal interests.

In the Library, you’ll find computers, printers, scanners, quiet study spaces, group study rooms, comfortable furniture, and expansive views of Grant Park. The Library provides borrowing privileges for a growing collection of media equipment available to all students including GoPro cameras, camcorders, projectors, laptops, and lightboxes. We also support a Maker Lab which has a 3D printer, vinyl cutter, button makers, mini sewing machines, and other tools and DIY resources. Attend, participate in or show your work at events and exhibits hosted in the Library throughout the year, including Art in the Library or our new Student Artist in Residence Program. For specialized research needs and interests, our College Archives and Special Collections are available by appointment at colum.edu/archives.
