PGA, or Please Generate Art, is a college-wide effort that unites students from all of Columbia’s graduate programs in an effort to showcase their work and creativity at Manifest, Columbia’s year-end urban arts festival.
Sponsored by the Graduate Services Office, PGA is an interactive, interdisciplinary installation which combines a familiar game of miniature golf with an ethereal maze of curiosities. Participants putt their way through an amusing, provocative and surreal world imagined and brought to life by the most sophisticated creative talent at the college.
The year-long experience allows some of Columbia’s most talented and dedicated graduate students to collaborate, develop a creative vision for the project and execute it. PGA is an opportunity to be part of a uniquely collaborative enterprise and an opportunity to showcase our talent to a large audience.
All current Columbia graduate students are eligible to submit a proposal to participate in the making of PGA 2012. Designers, performers, musicians, writers, builders, marketers and planners are all encouraged to submit their ideas and their talents.
To submit a proposal, download the application (pdf) and submit a completed copy to the Graduate Student Services office at gce@colum.edu.
