After a day spent reading, in class and hunched over the computer, your muscles can begin to tense up. These five easy poses will help you maintain energy and release tension, even when you’re in class. Bonus: You can do them anywhere.

Seated twist: This pose releases tension and you can do it anytime through the day. Good for those long classes.

Eagle Arms: This is a great way to ease the upper back and shoulders after a long day in class. Twist your arms around each other, push your palms inward and breathe. Aaaah.

Thigh stretch: Pull your ankle back and release the muscles that have been bunched up under that computer desk all day.

Staff Pose: Stretch out your legs without even getting out of your chair. Make sure to keep your spine as straight as you can and use your leg muscles to raise your legs parallel to the floor.

Tree pose: Take a study break to calm and balance your frayed nerves with this classic yoga pose. The highers your foot on your thigh, the greater the concentration. Try it with hands overhead for a greater challenge.
