The 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) became available on January 1st at www.fafsa.gov. The SFS Priority Deadline to complete your FAFSA was February 1st! Priority Deadlines are created to ensure you complete your FAFSA in time to receive all the financial aid you are eligible to receive. Often times, federal and state funding can run out and we do not want to see this happen to you. Even though you may have missed the deadline this does not mean any particular funding option has run out and there is still time to complete your FAFSA…the time is now.
Note: The state of Illinois recently issued a statement urging students to complete the 13-14 FAFSA by March 1st, however, this has not been announced as an official deadline for MAP grant funding. Since there is no date published as of yet, we still suggest you complete your 13-14 FAFSA immediately.
DON’T miss out on funding options due to putting off your FAFSA. Get started right now!
