Superior Interiors: Dorm Room Decor Contest

What we found was that students are designing on a budget and in a small space with a personal panache that could only come from attendees of the most creative college in the country. Here are our finalists:
Freshman photography major, Emily Darrow, displays her passion on the walls with a DIY wall collage. An awesome way to make the space personal.
Contest winner, Nailah Wood, a first year fashion business major, pulls together her design with touches of color (her favorite, pink) and contrasting animal prints. She also swears by keeping things organized as a way to create space. Tip from our winner: Shop in the discount sections of home stores and sign up for store rewards cards to design on a budget.
Journalism graduate student, Sylvia Oben, echos the pattern of her bedspread in the floral wall decor. Wall decals are a great way to pump up your design game on the cheap.
Freshman Courtney Kasperowicz opens up a small space with natural light. “First thing I did when I moved in was change up the arrangment of my side, making the space more open, more inviting and easier to get a glimpse of the city below.”
