Featured on-campus event:

Spring Field Day

Bust out your protective headgear and an egregious number of wristbands, it's time for a serious artist-on-artist athletic throwdown. Kickball, bags, World Cup calibur soccer, flag football, and the semi-annual students v. faculty / staff vollyeball game are on the docket. Yeah, you're younger and more athletic, but we play dirty. So it's a toss-up. There's free food too.

When: Friday, May 7 from noon to 5 p.m.
Where: Grant Park at Balbo and Columbus

Featured off-campus event:

Cinco de Mayo

On May 5, 1862 Mexican forces routed the French at the Battle of Puebla and an annual celebration was born. Is it weird that it's a bigger deal today in the U.S. than it is in Mexico? As to why this year's celebration actually falls on the 7th, well, that's just a matter of convenience.

When: Friday, May 7 - Sunday, May 9
Where: The Little Village | 26th Street & Kostner

Sponsored by YouSwoop. Daily discounts from around Chicagoland:
