Audio Theory & Systems Group Tutoring covers the language, theories, and technical knowledge common to all fields in which audio is used. Topics include sound waves and propagation, the analog and digital audio signal, signal analysis and processing (frequency, amplitude, and time-based) and basic audio systems (transducers, amplifiers, and mixers). The group follows the course syllabus and provides students the opportunity to expand on and practice these topics in a collaborative manner. At this time, all group tutoring will be done on Zoom. Science of Acoustics Online Group:

Science of Acoustics Group tutoring covers the physics of vibrating systems, waves, and sound . Topics include the sound spectrum, how the ear works, the transmission of sound, and the Doppler Effect. The properties of reflection, refraction, diffraction, and interference, with emphasis on resonance, standing waves, and the Inverse Square Law of the intensity of sound. The group follows the course syllabus and provides students the opportunity to expand on and practice these topics in a collaborative manner. At this time, all group tutoring will be done on Zoom. Ear Training Online Group:

Ear Training Group tutoring covers the skills aquired in Aural Skills I-IV. Students can practice sightsinging a melody employing mixed meters and singing a melody while playing an accompaniment that includes chromatics, seventh chords, and mixed meters. The group provides students the opportunity to expand on and practice these topics in a collaborative manner. At this time, all group tutoring will be done on Zoom.
