Current Students

Log in to Handshake and click on the “Career Center” link on the upper-right of the screen. Then click Appointments > Schedule an Appointment. Select the appointment type you desire to view our staff’s availability.

If you have difficulty accessing your Handshake or require assistance with scheduling, please reach out to the Career Center at 312-369-7280 or careercenter@colum.edu.

Alumni

Alumni can schedule 1:1 appointments with the Career Center up to a year post-graduation. To do so, you must call 312-369-7280 or email careercenter@colum.edu – alumni cannot request appointments via Handshake.

Most Career Center events and workshops are open to alumni, even after a year post-graduation. You can view our upcoming events and workshops on Handshake by clicking the Career Center link, then Events.

You retain access to your Handshake account indefinitely, and your student account is automatically converted to an alumni account once you graduate. If you’ve lost access to Handshake, please email careercenter@colum.edu

If you are a degreed alumni who did not have a Handshake account as a student, the Career Center can create one for you. Please email careercenter@colum.edu with your legal name at the time of your graduation, preferred name, graduation year, student ID, and preferred email so we can set up your account.
