Recruiting Events at Columbia College Chicago

The Career Center works as a bridge between Columbia’s academic community and the professional creative industries, hosting a number of programs and events for professionals and employers to meet with our students to review their work and exchange career information.

Organizing recruiting events, on-campus visits, info sessions, panel discussions, portfolio reviews, and off-site field trips to local creative organizations and partners are just a few of the ways that we put creative professionals directly in touch with emerging talent at Columbia. Ways to get involved include:

Recruiting Events

Career & Job Fairs

Whether you're looking to recruit for part-time jobs, full-time entry level positions, or internships with your business or organization, we host a number of job and career fairs on campus. Our job fairs help students support themselves and gain transferrable work skills while continuing their education. Our career fairs allow for more industry-specific recruitment opportunities related to Columbia College disciplines. View fair listings and stay up-to-date by registering for an account on the Handshake job network and keeping your current job openings posted. More info at colum.edu/jobfairs or on Handshake at colum.edu/handshake.

Here to Hire

Here to Hire events invite employers and industry partners to come on campus to recruit current Columbia College students (and sometimes alumni) for opportunities analogous to their academic majors and programs of study. These visits take place throughout the year and are designed to give employers a chance to deliver presentations so students may get to know them better. HTH visits also offer some one-on-one time for employers and potential candidates to talk about current jobs and see if it’s a match. Learn more and coordinate a HTH visit at colum.edu/heretohire.
