I'm having a psychological crisis:

If you are experiencing a crisis call Counseling Services at 312-369-8700. You will be asked to come to the Counseling Services office located at 916 S. Wabash Ave. Suite 501. You can also come directly to the Counseling Services office where you will be asked to fill out an assessment form. The first available clinician will attend to you.

Counseling Services hours are as follows:

Fall and Spring Semester:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday – 9:00am – 6:00pm
Tuesday, Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm

Summer:

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Summer and J-Term:

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Counseling Services is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and when the campus is closed.

If you leave a message after hours your call will not be returned until the next business day. Please contact the emergency resources during the evenings, nights and on weekends. If you have a crisis and it's after business hours call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

Please do not email the Counseling Services office if you're experiencing a crisis - email is not a reliable means to obtain urgent assistance. Please follow the instructions above.
