Struggling in everyday social interactions and finding it hard to communicate and/or relate? Overthinking benign social interactions? This is the group for you! The Space Between Us will provide a safe space to learn and practice boundaries communication styles while learning to challenge negative thinking styles. This group will be a hybrid format with some weeks being virtual, while others being held in-person.
Shake It Off: Anxiety Management
Weekly on Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.
First Meeting: October 5th
Learning to manage anxiety does not need to be scary or lonely; it can actually be fun! This group uses improv games, dynamic discussion, and proven therapeutic techniques to assist you in overcoming generalized anxiety and social anxiety. Improve your confidence and develop more helpful thinking patterns by participating in active, playful exercises in a supportive environment. Come take control of anxiety! This group will meet entirely in-person.
Mind Over Media: Coping with depression through the lens of pop culture
Weekly on Fridays at 11:00 a.m.
First Meeting: September 30th
Media, pop culture, and the arts can often be a powerful tool to guide us in processing the challenges that come with living with depression and other mental health concerns. Mind over Media will use film, tv, music, social media, and more as a catalyst for discussion around mental health and exploration of coping with depression. Come for the entertainment, leave with healthy coping skills, support, connections with other students who are experiencing similar concerns, and new perspectives. This group will meet in-person
