Crafting Hope: An Arts Activism Project

Crafting Hope: An Arts Activism Project is an opportunity for the public to engage in a worldwide effort to raise awareness about past and present genocides and to encourage change through arts activism.
Framed by a larger conversation about arts activism at Columbia College Chicago, Crafting Hope seeks to support One Million Bones, a worldwide initiative to spread genocide awareness by crafting handmade bones to be laid out in Washington DC in Spring 2013 in the form of a symbolic mass grave.
Come participate in the bone making process, interact with others’ ideas, and learn what an important role Columbia College Chicago has been playing in arts activism since 2006. Crafting Hope encourages activism to end genocide.
Crafting Hope is the result of three years of work and collaboration among One Million Bones, Columbia College Chicago, Critical Encounters, the Hokin Project and countless schools, community organizations and individuals.
