Global Education

The Global Education Office coordinates many aspects of international activity, support, and global outreach at the college. Our team members develop international partnerships; recruit and advise international students; conduct global outreach; develop study abroad and international exchange programs. In addition to supporting international students, we work to develop programs to increase global awareness and understanding. We also provide mentorship programs for international students and buddy program opportunities for all students.

EDUCATION ABROAD
edabroad@colum.edu
Education Abroad assists students in their educational experiences outside the US— including studying abroad for credit through Exchange Programs, Columbia Faculty Led Programs, and Provider Programs, as well as internships abroad. Students who are interested in earning credit or having other educational experiences while traveling to another country can set up an appointment or drop in to speak to someone knowledgeable about the possibilities. Our staff members educate students on the range of education abroad programs that are available to them as Columbia students. Any Columbia student intending to transfer in study abroad credit must complete an online application through our office.

INTERNATIONAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
(312) 369-8839
As part of the support network, the International Mentorship Program pairs international students with active faculty and staff mentors who have a strong interest and dedication to the welfare of students. Mentors bring students additional support through regular get-togethers, academic connections, pertinent college events, and opportunities to experience the cultural richness of Chicago.
