Honors Undergraduate Research Mentorship Initiative
The Honors Undergraduate Research Mentorship Initiative (URMI) is open to students with a 3.5 GPA and junior standing. You can earn up to three hours per semester of Honors credit while gaining real-world experience and learning research and scholarly techniques, working directly with a faculty mentor who is practicing in academic and integrative disciplines across the college. These disciplines may coincide with your major at Columbia, or you may choose something else that aligns with your interests.
This is a more rigorous version of the URMI course that is open to all juniors and seniors.
