Fulbright US Student Program

Deadline: Application materials must be uploaded to the Fulbright Embark online application system by September 5th, 2016.  Interviews with the Columbia Fulbright Faculty Committee will be scheduled for the last week of September or the first week of October.

This program is for graduating seniors, MFA candidates, and recent alumni and does the following:

You could be one of more than 1,400 candidates who receive a Fulbright grant each year to go overseas. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program operates in more than 140 countries worldwide and grants are available in all fields of study.

Fulbright Scholar Program

The Fulbright Scholar program offered over 800 awards for lecturing, research or combined lecturing/research in over 130 countries around the world for the 2011-12 academic year. In addition, many country programs include "All Disciplines" awards open to specialists in any field. You can find details on the new awards, check eligibility guidelines, and download materials at www.cies.org. Contact information for staff working on particular countries and awards is available both within the award description and at our web site at https://www.cies.org/amstaff.htm.

Explore your options from the following:

1) Fulbright Programs for U.S. Scholars
Programs that offer U.S. faculty, administrators and professionals grants to lecture or do research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields, or to participate in seminars.
 
2) Fulbright Global Programs for U.S. and non-U.S. Scholars
Programs that offer joint collaborative opportunities for U.S. and non-U.S. scholars, alumni and institutions.
 
3) Fulbright Programs for Visiting Scholars
Programs that support the research and teaching of visiting (Non-U.S.) scholars at U.S. colleges and universities.
 
4) Fulbright Scholar Grants for Institutions
Opportunities for U.S. institutions to host Fulbright Visiting Scholars and professionals from abroad to lecture at U.S. colleges and universities.
