The publication recognizes Columbia for its outstanding undergraduate and graduate film and TV degree programs as well as its Semester in LA program.

Columbia College Chicago has been named one of MovieMaker’s 25 Best Film Schools in the U.S. and Canada of 2023. The annual list recognizes schools that prepare students for every aspect of moviemaking, spotlighting both world-renowned institutions and surprisingly affordable schools on the rise.  

The publication noted that Columbia provides a well-rounded education with offerings in cinematography, directing, and screenwriting and opportunities for students to study in LA. “This school is a wonderful place to learn all aspects of the craft,” says MovieMaker.
