New for 2023! Columbia will be housing students at the Flats!
In light of increased demand for on-campus housing, the College will be adding additional bed spaces to our portfolio for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Students living at the Flats this year will be living on floors with other Columbia students, will have a Columbia College Chicago RA, and will have events and programming in the building, just like with all of our other Columbia on-campus housing options.
The Flats is located just down the street from the Columbia College Student Center at 829 S Wabash Ave, Chicago, IL 60605
The Flats opened in 2013. This 17-story building has 70 residential units comprised of studio, two, and three bedroom apartments. Columbia students will occupy fully furnished apartments on the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th floors.
