Borders Cruzadas is a long-term visual narrative project by photojournalists and 2023-2024 Dammeyer Fellows Oscar B. Castillo and Wil Sands. The 2023-2024 Dammeyer exhibition featuring Borders Cruzadas is a culmination of work that compiles documentary photography, research, and conversations to present both the physical and the symbolic boundaries that form America’s borders.
Borders Cruzadas is presented in collaboration with the Pueblo Unido Gallery (PUG) and Centro Romero. Castillo and Sands have work on view in a companion exhibition at Pueblo Unido Gallery. Both exhibitions are curated by PUG Co-Director and Chief Curator Abigail Winograd. Image Credit: Oscar B. Castillo and Wil Sands,
