OUT THERE: An Existential Crisis of Intergalactic Proportions

October 24 – December 13, 2013

Opening Reception: October 24, 5-8pm

Historically, humankind has been fascinated by the spectacle of outer space; constantly questioning what lies beyond our atmosphere and how it affects humans on Earth. In the quest to feed our intrigue, humankind has made leaps and bounds in the scientific research of our intergalactic relevance. Yet, the more we discover, the less significant we become. Through this timeless wonder, artists have been exploring the cosmos on their own terms. OUT THERE examines these contemporary artistic renderings of outer space, questioning the way human beings interpret and relate to such an unthinkable notion.
