Ash Huse: Now You’re Here

October 2–December 12, 2023
Opening Reception: Friday, October 20, 5–7 p.m.

Now You’re Here is a photographic series that explores queer awakening, love, anonymity in the digital age, and long-distance relationships. This exhibition showcases the act of finally being able to meet someone you’ve only been in contact with online after to the isolation experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This exhibition is partially sponsored by Columbia College’s Photography Department and the Stuart R. Abelson Graduate Research Fellowship. The Stuart R. Abelson Graduate Research Fellowship was established to encourage international travel among Photography graduate students while completing a specific project and to support the experience by assisting with the costs of travel. Now You’re Here is also partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
