Opening reception: March 15th, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Perspectives: of the Black Aesthetic is an exhibition channeling the complexities of Black culture, through the musings of the Black Power Movement of the ‘60s, that provided the framework for Black writers and artists to utilize the force of art + activism. Through prose, poetry, and essays the artist analyzes, rejuvenates, and celebrates aspects of Black culture and how the intricate nature of survival has impacted our perspectives.
