For Parents & Caregivers

The Center for Student Wellbeing recognizes that the transition to college can be an exciting and stressful time for many families. Staff can provide consultation to parents and caregivers who may be concerned about their student's emotional wellbeing.

As a reminder, we are a confidential service and will not be able to disclose information about whether your student is currently participating in our services. We can listen to your concerns and assist you in developing a plan to best support your student.

If you are concerned about your student and want to discuss an issue, please contact us at our Center’s Consultation Line at (312) 369-8700.

This is NOT a crisis line and may go to voicemail or experience a wait to connect with a mental health professional.  For immediate mental health crises, you must use 911, campus security, or your closest mental health crisis center. Access crisis resources HERE

If the student is on your health insurance plan, parents and caregivers can contact your insurance provider to find a therapist in-network.
