Columbia College Chicago 4 residence halls for our students and on-campus housing options are primarily comprised of apartments. These apartments allow for 2-6 students to reside in them. Within these apartments there may be any combination of shared bedrooms and/or individual bedrooms.

Included below are the semester rates of each of our on campus room types. You will be asked to rank your preferred room types. Please note your ranking of room types does not guarantee that specific room type will be available for you to select during the room selection portion of this process. HRE gathers this information in case we must make any manual room assignments on your behalf.
30 East
30 East is just steps away from the new Student Center and one block from Grant Park. It houses the Housing & Residential Experience office and approximately 340 Columbia College Chicago students.
The University Center
Since Fall of 2004, the University Center (UC) has created a home away from home for approximately 1,700 college students from Columbia College Chicago and nearby DePaul & Roosevelt Universities.
The Dwight
This building was originally built in 1911 as the headquarters of the Dwight Brothers Paper Company. The Dwight has been fully renovated but still stays true to its heritage as a place of aesthetics and creativity.
The Arc
Originally built in 1893, the Old Colony Building is an architectural masterpiece located right in the heart of Chicago's downtown Loop. Make no mistake: "Historic" doesn't have to mean "Old". The Arc has been fully remodeled and modernized; providing Columbia College Chicago students with contemporary design, stylish amenities, and engaging public spaces.

*Residents assigned to traditional-style semi-suites in the University Center are required to purchase a MANDATORY meal plan at the cost of $2,490 a semester, as these units do not include kitchens. The University Center room cost per term rates are not inclusive of the meal plan cost. The meal plan will be a separate charge on your student account.
Residents assigned to apartments can purchase an optional supplementary meal plan.
