Summer Office Hours:

On Fridays, our office will not be available for in-person drop-ins or appointments; however, we will be available via phone and email from 9:00am - 4:30pm

Please note, you will need to call in advance to setup an appointment to visit our office. All of our buildings are controlled access facilities, accessible only to those students who live in the buidling. We are more than happy to make an appointment to meet with you!

What Can I Do While the Housing Portal is Transitioning? 

  1. Apply for Housing
    • Given the transition of housing systems, we still want to capture student interest in on-campus housing. Please complete the following form to indicate your interest in 2024-2025 Academic Year Housing.
    • Based on the information provided on this form, a member of our staff will manually select a space for you. These interim assignments will be made on a rolling basis. Students will be emailed with their assignment and asked to complete an Acknowledgement form to accept or deny this assignment. 
    • Students who accept the assignment will still need to sign an official housing contract when our new system launches. 
    • Please note housing charges will not be added to your account until you sign a contract. A Housing Contract is the official binding agreement for on-campus housing, thus we will not charge your student account for the cost of the fall semester until the contract is signed. 
  2. Add a Meal Plan 
    • Students wishing to add the 150 Optional Meal Plan for the upcoming year can email housing@colum.edu to request the addition of this meal plan.
    • Please note it may take up to 14 days for the addition to be reflected on your student account.
  3. Cancel a Meal Plan
    • Students who added the 150 Optional Meal Plan when they signed their housing contract but no longer wish to have it for the upcoming year can email housing@colum.edu to request cancellation. 
    • Please note it may take up to 14 days for the cancellation to be reflected on your student account. 
    • The 150 Meal Plan can be cancelled up until September 13, 2024. After this date the meal plan cannot be cancelled. 
  4. Request Housing Cancellation
    • Students who will no longer be attending Columbia in the fall, or those who have found alternative housing arrangements, may email housing@colum.edu to cancel their housing for the upcoming year. 
    • Please note it may take up to 14 days for the cancellation to be reflected on your student account. 
    • Students have until August 25, 2024 to cancel their housing with no additional fees or penalties. The housing pre-payment is no longer refundable and will remain on your student account. 

 

2024-2025 Academic Year Housing - New and Incoming Students

Given the transition of housing systems, we still want to capture student interest in on-campus housing. Please complete the following form to indicate your interest in 2024-2025 Academic Year Housing. Based on the information provided on this form, a member of our staff will manually select a space for you once our new Housing system is launched in July 2024.

2024 - 2025 INTERIM HOUSING INTERST APPLICATION

2023-2024 Guest Exception Form

Residents must submit a Guest Exception Form for any guests under the age of 18 and for guests who do not have a valid Government ID. Residents must fill out this form to preregister their guest(s).

Spring 2025 Housing

The 2025 Spring Only Housing Application is still available for students interested in on-campus housing for the Spring 2025 semester.
