Housing Costs for the 2020 - 2021 Academic Year

To accommodate social distancing requirements, our room types, and rates for the 2020-21 academic year have changed. Please review the information below.

Small Double Single Shared Apartment - includes a shared kitchen and common living space. Bathrooms vary (1 or 2) per unit. The number of bedrooms vary per unit. Residence Halls that include this room type are 30 E. Balbo and The Dwight. Students in these spaces are given the option to add a supplemental meal plan at an additional cost of $1,900. Semi-Suite Single w/ Meal Plan (Originally Traditional Semi-Suite w/Meal Plan) — consists of a traditional two-person room at the University Center residence hall. Students share a bathroom with 1 other student. A 15-meal per week plan is mandatory and included in the cost of the room. In addition to the meal plan, students have access to a kitchenette and community lounge on each floor. Average semester cost: $5,000

Double Single Bedroom in a Shared Apartment (Originally Shared Bedroom in a Shared Apartment) — consists of a 2 person bedroom in a 1-3 bedroom apartment. Residence Halls that include this room type are 30 E. BalboThe Arc, and The Dwight. The apartment, depending on the number of bedrooms, may house 2-4 students and will include en-suite bathrooms (30 E only), a living/dining area, and a full kitchen. Students in these spaces are given the option to add a supplemental meal plan at an additional cost of $1,900. For additional meal plan information, click hereAverage semester cost: $5,610

Deluxe Double Suite Single w/ Meal plan – consists of a double bedroom converted into 1 single bedroom with 1 bathroom; no kitchen at the University Center. A 15-meal per week plan is mandatory and included in the cost of the room. In addition to the meal plan, students have access to a kitchenette and community lounge on each floor. Average semester cost: $5,000

Single Shared Apartment — consists of a one-person bedroom in a 4-bedroom apartment, 2 bathrooms, a living/dining area, and full kitchen. The Residence Halls that include this room type are The ArcUniversity Center30 E. Balbo and The Dwight. The apartment, depending on the unit layout, will house up to 4 students. Students in these spaces are given the option to add a supplemental meal plan at an additional cost of $1,900. For additional meal plan information click hereAverage semester cost: $6,250

Private Room Suite Single w/ Meal plan - includes a single bedroom with private bath located at the University Center residence hall. A 15-meal per week plan is mandatory and included in the cost of the room. In addition to the meal plan, students have access to a kitchenette and community lounge on each floor. Average semester cost: $7,220

Studio Apartment  This includes a kitchen; typically returning upper division with possible ADA exceptions. The Residence Halls that include this room type are The Arc, and 30 E. Balbo. Students in these spaces are given the option to add a supplemental meal plan at an additional cost of $1,900. For additional meal plan information, click hereAverage semester cost: $8,345

You will see prices for private studio apartments and private semi-suites, but they are not an option on the application. There are less than 1% of these spaces on campus, and they are usually all secured by returning residents/students during our annual Contract Campaign.
