Imaginary Landscapes: Works From The Department of Audio Arts and Acoustics
Exhibition Dates: March 14, 2011 - April 20, 2011
Reception: March 17th, 5-7pm
Audio Arts & Acoustics presents Imaginary Landscapes, Columbia's first gallery show dedicated entirely to sound art.
Let your ears guide you through an aural geography from the sonic imaginations of Audio Arts & Acoustics students. This exhibition features original multi-channel sound art, video works highlighting the synergistic relation of sound and vision, and interactive work that invites listeners to create their own soundscapes.
Imaginary Landscapes reminds us that there is a world beyond our eyes, waiting to be heard.
Participating Faculty: Assistant Professors Jesse Seay & Ben Sutherland, Department of Audio Arts & Acoustics.
