If You've Been Accused
- Know that you are entitled to a prompt and equitable investigation.
- Read and review the College’s Title IX Sexual Discrimination and Sex-Based Harassment Policy.
- The Policy provides you with important rights – including, but not limited to, simultaneous written notice of the outcome of an investigation, the opportunity to review certain documentation, an Advisor, and the option to file an appeal.
- Reach out for support.
- You are entitled to College support services. (The College’s Title IX Coordinator is available to help you find appropriate assistance).
- Your friends, family members, and/or members of the clergy may also be good resources.
- Do not contact the other party (whether by in-person communication, email, phone, social media, through someone else, or otherwise).
- It is a violation of the Policy to retaliate in any manner against the other party.
- Even well-meaning communications can be counterproductive.
- Understand that both you and the other party deserve to be treated with respect and dignity by College employees.
