The Policy provides you with important rights – including, but not limited to, simultaneous written notice of the outcome of an investigation, the opportunity to review certain documentation, a “support person,” and the option to file an appeal.
Reach out for support.
You are entitled to College support services. (The College’s Title IX Coordinator is available to help you find appropriate assistance).
Your friends, family members, and/or members of the clergy may also be good resources.
Do not contact the alleged victim (whether by in-person communication, email, phone, social media, through someone else, or otherwise).
It is a violation of the Policy to retaliate in any manner against the alleged victim.
Even well-meaning communications can be counterproductive.
Understand that both you and the alleged victim deserve to be treated with respect and dignity by College employees.
