Counseling Services does not prescribe psychotropic medications. Medications are prescribed by a Psychiatrist, medical doctor specializing in mental health, or other qualified medical professional during a psychiatry medication office visit. Counseling Services Clinicians will help your student access an appropriate off-campus provider. There may be out of pocket costs associated with a psychiatry visit and subsequent follow-up appointments. Your student is responsible for the cost as the cost is not covered in tuition and fees.
Additionally, the college does not have a pharmacy or dispensary on site. Students must take written prescription to one of the local pharmacies (see below) to have it filled.

No. Each individual student needs to schedule their own counseling sessions. They can either call our main number at 312-369-8700 or fill out the request services form here.
If you are concerned about your student and want someone to check on them, you can refer them to Student Relations through the "Refer a Student" button on their website or by calling 312-369-8595.
If you think your student is in imminent danger, please call 911 for a wellness check.
