This may be optional, but it's always wise to discuss the program details with the faculty leader directly. Some faculty leaders require you to attend an information session or an informal sit down with them prior to reviewing your application. Global Education is always here to assist as well.
You’ll need to clear up all financial, registration, or academic holds to study abroad. Additionally, undergraduate students must have a cumulative 2.50 GPA and graduate students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply and participate in their program of choice. Some programs may have additional requirements.
There are a limited number of spots in each faculty-led program. All applicants will write a brief 500-word application essay to further help the selection committee determine which students will participate in each program.
You must confirm your offer to study abroad in order to move into the next phase of the process.
Paying your program deposit officially secures a student's place in the program.
Global Education will collect additional information, such as passport photos, and travel itineraries where necessary.
Once cleared, you may register for the course associated with your faculty-led program. This is a Columbia College Chicago course, so everything else about it will be the same as any other course taken on campus.
Columbia Central will bill your student account for the special course fee, tuition (if applicable), and health insurance (if applicable).
