Bicycles

Students will find bike racks located outside almost every building on campus. Bikes must always be locked with an effective bike lock. Bikes are not allowed inside any academic buildings but are allowed in the residence halls. The campus is very accessible by bicycle. The Lakefront Trail to the Museum Campus interchange, then to Michigan Avenue and 11th Street provides a mostly automotive traffic-free path to campus. Wabash Avenue is marked with bike lanes from Harrison south to Cermak. Dearborn Street has north- and south-bound bike lanes from Kinzie to Polk.

Chicago’s bike sharing program is called Divvy, and it has several automated bicycle rental stations positioned around campus.
