There are a variety of ways to get involved within your residential community. Your Resident Assistant (RA) serves as an excellent first point of contact for many of your campus questions. Housing & Residential Experience (HRE) hosts a number of programs and social events throughout the year, offering you an enhanced opportunity to connect to the Columbia community and meet other students in your hall. Housing & Residential Experience also offers thematic living environments focused on the First Year Experience (FYE), Second Year Experience (SYE), honors housing, and gender-inclusive housing. Students can indicate on their application their choice to be placed in any one of these communities. Assignments will be made for these communities until capacity is reached.
