Campus Card and Ventra U-Pass

The Campus Card is also a student’s ID. It connects students to many services at Columbia and allows students into buildings and events. New students receive their Campus Cards during orientation. Returning students should contact Columbia Central to schedule an appointment to replace lost or stolen cards. There is a fee for replacing lost cards. For more details on how to take advantage of the Campus Card, visit colum.edu/campuscard.

The Ventra U-Pass is a discounted transit fare card, which offers full-time students unlimited rides aboard all Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) buses and trains during the fall, spring and summer semesters. The Ventra U-Pass does not require a transfer or surcharge and allows daily ridership, including weekends. Students can visit Columbia Central to receive help replacing lost or stolen cards. There is a $50 fee for replacing lost cards.

When the CTA announces the policy for fall 2021 and spring 2022, The Columbia UPass webpage will be updated at that time. Columbia Central and Columbia Connect will also communicate to students about the UPass program.  Visit colum.edu/upass for distribution and activation information.
