A Message from Dean Eck

Welcome! I'm Dr. Douglas Eck, and I proudly serve as the Dean of Students at Columbia College Chicago. With over 20 years in higher education, my heart has always centered around helping students find clarity, confidence, and community during their college journey. Originally from western Illinois, I have worked across the country at a variety of institutions - but Chicago is my favorite city, and I am thrilled to call it home again. My own path was shaped by mentors who believed in me, and my team and I are committed to offering that same belief and support to every student here. Whether you are navigating a challenge, celebrating a win, or simply unsure where to start, my office is here to listen and help.
